Pomba Gira is not a proper Orixà, it is a typical Brazilian character thus cannot be found in the Africa. Name originates from the word Bombonjiro, that means “spirit of the crosses” in bantu. In Mythology it is known as the partner of Exù or even a female Exù. Exù and Pomba are the only divinities recognized by Quimbanda cult. Pomba Gira affects mostly the sphere of sex, attraction and seduction.THE BLOOD OF POMBA GIRA is traditionally considered as a spiritual, mesmerized oil devoted to Quimbamba ritual and used for its strength and power.
